Ellert Vincennes festival The recent Christian Education Foundation's Art and Antique Festival in Vincennes was a "tremedous success," according to David Ulrich, superintendent of Vincennes Catholic Schools. The annual festival netted a grand total of $19,500, Ulrich said. Approximately 275 people attended the dinner and 70 items, both art and antiques, were auc- tioned. The featured item, a Biolette carving of bluebirds, was auctioned for $4700. The Christian Education Foun- dation has 33 members and Don Hedstrom serves as foundation president. "The foundation has a two-fold purpose," Ulrich said. Scholar- ships are awarded to students at- tending Rivet High School and the foundation also helps provide funds for the operating expenses of the school. "This year, the foundation pro- vided $55,000 in operating ex- penses and $15,000 for scholar- ships," Ulrich said. Honor choir Six choir members from Memorial High School, Evansville, participated in an Honor Choir at the University of Evansville.
