Evansville422-1833 Evansville's St. Vincent de Paul Society Sister Mary Theresa Mar- tin, coordinator of the Evans- ville St. Vincent de Paul So- ciety, reports that 464 requests for assistance in October were referred to various Evansville area parish conferences. Of these requests, 224 were for utilities, 121 were for rent, 56 were for furniture, and 63 were for miscellaneous items. The food pantry served 1,133 adults and children. State proclamation Governor Evan Bayh re- cently issued an executive order proclaiming March 19, 1994, as St. Mary-of-the-Woods College External Degree Day, honoring the twentieth anniversary of the Women's External Degree Pro- gram.
