No__ vember 14, 1997 The Message -- for Catholics of Southwestern Indiana 7 host program Thirty volunteers are helping to make Kordes Enrichment Center, Ferdinand, a place of hospitality. The volunteer host program is now over a year old, and includes membership from the civic com- munity and Sisters from Monaster Imhaculate Conception. Y e program was initiated to ensure that visitors' experiences at Kordes are pleasant. The duties for each volunteer are simple: they are asked to treat visitors as if they are guests in their own home. Volunteer hosts stay at the cen- ter for the entire weekend during workshops or programs, handle guest registration, staff the office, field phone calls, help with meals, organize social events, and pro- vide tours. They are entitled to attend a free weekend program at Kordes after they complete fgur week- ends of service. Eagle Math is an incentive pro- gram designed to encourage stu- dents to improve their math skills.
