Church: St. Theresa's Catholic Church (29 years). 1976. Received Sertoma Award. 1977. Awarded the James Bethel Gresham Freedom Award by the Evansville Bar Association. 1984. Governor Robert D. Orr presents Judge Lensing the Exemplary Project Award. 1985. Presented Child Advocacy Award from CASA. 1987. Presented the West Side Improvement Association Government Award. 1988. Received the Robert J. Kinsey Award for Outstanding Judicial Service and Support to Children and Youth of Indiana. 1988. Commissioned to the Order of Sycamores by Governor Robert D. Orr. 1988 - Began two year term as President of the Indiana Juvenile and Family Court Judges. 1989 - Received Outstanding Youth Award from the Evansville Rescue Mission. 1990 - Presented the International Toastmasters Communication Award. 1991 - Designated Outstanding Volunteer Resource for Youth in our community by Youth Resources of Southwestern Indiana, Evansville Youth Coalition. Current: Participating member of the National and State Councils of Juvenile and Family Court Judges. Participating member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Guardian Ad Litem and Court Appointed Special Advocate Association. Innovations: Established first house arrest program. Began program Children. of mandatory review of delinquent Initiated COmmunity service programs. Instituted programs for the prevention of shoplifting which have been adopted statewide. Set up local Placement Review Board. Assisted in developing local child care facilities such as the Youth Care Center (boys 12-17), Methodist Youth Home (women 14 and older) and Hillcrest-Washington Home (delinquent & neglected children).
