,1996 The Message -- for Catholics of Southwestern Indiana 7 hool Notebook :i ;: ii i ii, I Stock Market game Eighth graders at Holy Rosary School, Evansville, recently had a visit from Taylor Payne, an Evansville investment counselor. The students will be participants in a state-wide market game, and Payne advised them about the basics of investing. According to Bonnie Ambrose, eighth grade English teacher, the class will be divided into groups of four students, with each group receiving a fictional gift of $100,000. The groups will each decide what stocks to purchase with their money, and weekly reports will be provided telling the students how their stocks are doing. The pro- gram will last for 10 weeks. il ? 3oys' State Erik Gillum represented Washington Catholic High School, Washington, at Boys' State this summer.
