Mathematics Ben Coomes, a student at St. Benedict School, Evansville, attended the Ball State Institute for the Gifted in Mathematics in June. Five-hundred students took a qualifying test for the pro- gram and 32 students were cho- sen. Ben also placed fourth in a six- county area in the Indiana Mathematics league test. Memorial's yearbook Mark Miller and Kelly Vann, co-editors of the yearbook at Memorial High School, Evansville, won second place in design at the Buckeye State Yearbook Workshop at Denison University.
