The previous trips have been to: -- Mexico, Jan. 25-Feb. 1, 1979, with stopovers of sever- al hours in the Dominican Re- public and the Bahamas. -- Poland, June 2-10, 1979. -- Ireland and the United States, Sept. 29-Oct. 7, 1979. The U.S. leg of the trip began Oct. 1. -- Turkey, Nov. 28-30, 1979. Africa, May 2-12, 1980. The pope visited Zaire, Congo, Kenya, Ghana, Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso) and the Ivory Coast. -- France, May 30-June 2, 1980. -- Brazil. June 30-July 12, 1980. -- West Germany, Nov. 15- 19, 1980.
