The three-day workshop program "complimented the curriculum and will be integrat- ed throughout the school year," according to Sister Marilyn Schroering O.S.B., Holy Family principal. He is the son of Richard and Emma Jean Couture. Class officers Newly-elected eighth grade class officers at St. Philip School, St. Philip, are Michael Dayton, president; Jeff Fischer, vice-pres- ident; Jenny Folz, treasurer; Stephanie Scheller, secretary. Holy Family Foundation Marcus Kuper has made a sec- ond $10,000 donation to the Holy Family Catholic School Foundation. The income from the Foundation has played a major role in the improvements to 'the school's science room, art room and media center, which includes the library and audio visual room. Parish council goals at St. Clement, Boonville During the past year, members of the parish council at St. Clement Church, Boonville, for- mulated a mission statement. From this statement, council members compiled 16 goals for the parish. The Mission Statement reads: "St. Clement Parish (covering 250 square miles) is an active Catholic community bonded in Jesus Christ through Baptism. Together we are called to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by serving the physical and spiritu- al needs of all people through education, worship, ministry, and social interaction." Theparish council goals are dividedinto three areas: -- Activites/programs/pro- jects; -- Activites/programs/projects to finish or complete; -- Activites/programs/projects to start/initiate. The goals include: 1) Continue to improve the quality of worship 2) Strengthen total parish commitment to stewardship; 3) Strengthen religious educe- tenance program for all parish fa- cilities and buildings; 6} Continue to improve and strengthen the parish RCIA; 7) Develop strategies and pro- grams for inviting participation of all members, including those who have become inactive and/or fallen away from the faith; 8) Review all business aspects of parish operation with an eye toward strengthening them; 9) Finish the new parking lot; 10) Complete preparation of disaster supplies; 11) Complete the parish cen- sus update; 12) Establish programs and services to provide for the needy within and outside of the parish; 13) Establish programs and services for various age/interest groups: 14} Enhance the spirit of ecu- menism in our community; 15) Develop strategies to pre- pare for the shortage of priests and religious; 16: Establish a process leading toward the construction of a new church.
