It is a small book, 47 pages, with no pretense. What you see is what you get -- a simple and clear explanation of desk top publishing, written for parish staff members who are just beginning to think about the possibilities. Material covered includes the introduction, "A Printing Press on Your Desk," and chapters covering everything from "Get- ting Started" to "Coping With the Frustrations." The book is authored by Charles Austin, a Lutheran journalist and pastor for 20 years, who directed the news bureau of the Lutheran Church in America from 1985 to 1987. "Dasktop Publishing for Con- gregations: A guide to getting started" is available from Augusburg Publishing House, Minneapolis. --Reviewedby Paul R. t.etngang ....
