4 The Message -- for Catholics of Southwestern Indiana July Diocese scheduling Adult Formation classes this fall By SISTER GERALDINE HEDINGER, O.S.B. Director, Office for Adult Formation The following classes are tentatively scheduled for fall -- provided we have a minimum of 12 credit-students register- ing for the class. If you are interested in attending one of these classes, complete the registration form below and return it to the Office for Adult Formation, P.O. Box 4169, Evansville, IN 47724-0169. Credit may be obtained through Brescia College in Owensboro, Ky. A minimum of'12 degree- seeking students need to be reg- istered in order to hold a class in a deanery. Tuition is $285 per course for credit students (a 66 percent discount from Brescia College) or $142.50 per course for audit students. Here are the names and descriptions of the courses: The Nature and Devel- opment of Church This course introduces the student to the biblical, magiste- rial and theological foundation of the nature and mission of the Church. Special emphasis will be given to the major moments of the Church's development as well as to its variety of forms and expressions. John McMullen will serve as instructor. The classes will be held at Holy Rosary, Evansville on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Sept. 9 through Nov. 25. Fundamental Moral Theology This course will assist the student in understanding the scriptural, theological and philo- sophical foundations and princi- ples of Catholic moral teaching, conscience formation and deci- sion-making. The instructor will be Father Mark Kurzendoerfer. The class- es will be held at Resurrection Church, Evansville, on Tues- days from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Sept. 9 through Nov. 25. Introduction. The instructor will be Father. Don Dilger. The classes will be held at St. Martin Church, Chrisney, Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sept. 13 and 27, and Oct. 11 and 25.
