0 The Message for Catholics of Southwestern Indiana Letters Continued from page 4 goods back to the U.S. to sell without paying any taxes. The real benefactors of NAFTA will be greedy corpo- rations that pay povertS' wages and rea t) huge profits. They have a huge propaganda campaign, claiming we will have an increase of jobs if' NAFTA is passed. At best this is an increase of jobs if NAFTA is passed. At best this is an unlikely possibility somewhere in the future. The price we will pay in lost in- dustries and jobs is not worth gamble. For our economic well being please tell your elected servants that NAFTA is not for the best interest of our country. Robert S. Pipher Vincennes Prayer petitions To the Editor: Something has been bother- ing me for sometime. Within the last two weeks I have had the opportunity to be in five Catholic churches and during petition time various prayer request have been made but there was never a request to pray for the end to abortion. There is much apathy in this area. Prior to this past two weeks I have rarely heard this men- tioned from the pulpit. I truly feel that abortion will be the sin that causes the downfall of our nation. Much like Sodom and Gomorrah. I am not trying to find fault with anyone, but I do feel we as Christians and Catholics need to pray as a community MILLER & MILLER "A family name you can trust" 424-9274 RUXER FORD - LINCOLN - MERCURY Medical Arts Pharmacy 3700 Bellemeade Avenue Phone 477-1532 Donald Gutzweiler City-WK Delivery Duncan's Riverside Pharmacy MagezJnes.
