She was nominated by faculty and students from her school. Kapiszka said, "Kathy was hired in the middle of the school year as Rivet's school counselor, after the retirement of her predecessor. She has taken on an assignment in an office that was in disarray. "Her dedication, hard work and long hours relieved the fears of this year's graduating seniors."
