Father John Davidson has been ap- Pointed Pastor of St. Anthony .Church, Evansville. Father Davidson Is also named as Pastor in solidum of St. John Church, Evansville, with Fa- ther Robert Nemergut; Father David- Sen is moderator and Leader of the Urban Ministry Team.(The term, Pastor m sohdum is ordinarily ren- dered as "Co-Pastor.) Father Davidson, 53, is an Vansville native. He was born Vlarch 17, 1938, the son of J. William 3avidson and Frances Bullock David- son. He was ordained March 14, 1964. His first assignment was as assistant pastor of St. Simon Church, Washing- ton. Subsequent assignments as an assistant included St. Anthony Church and Sacred Heart Church, both in Evansville, and St. John Church, Vincennes. Father Davidson was a teacher at St. Rose Academy in Vincennes, and Chaplain of the Vincennes Catholic Community Center. He also served as assistant superintendent of schools. His first pastorate was St. Mary Church, Evansville (1973). He has served as pastor of St. Joseph Church, Jasper, since August 1983. Father Davidson has also served as Dean of the Jasper Deanery. Foster and Loretta En- dress Foster. He was ordained May 26, 1956, by Bishop Henry J. Grimmelsman. His first assignment was as assistant pas- tor of St. Francis Xavier, the Old Cathedral, in Vincennes. He was named pastor of Holy Name Church, Bloomfield, in 1966.
