Gilbert, the son of Joe agdalena (Yochum) Hess, 0rn near Vincennes in Re attended St. Thomas and high school and col- St. Meinratl. He entered vitiate there in 1926. The award was established in 1963 to remind students, faculty and administra- tion of the particular values which characterize St. Meinrad College. Thomas Zint received a de- gree in Spanish. He is the son of Edsel and Edith Zint of Dale. lerrell Harville received a degree in psychology. He is the son of Sandra Harville of Jasper. Father Gavin Barnes O.S.B., assistant professor of English, Communication and Theater at St. Meiurad, gave the commence- ment address. He told the gradu- ates, "Have the courage to take the step, to stand up, to stand alone, but most of all to stand for something." Happy Birthday! Father Edward Schnur, asso- ciate to the Catholic community of Washington. with residence at St. Simon Church, Washington, was ordained to the priesthood June 1, 1991. Father Clemens Hut of Mesa, Ariz., was ordained to the priest- hood June 2, 1935. Father Francis Bauer of St. Bernard Church, Fort Branch, was ordained to the priesthood June 2, 1941. Father Philip Kreilein of St. Ferdinand Church, Ferdinand, was ordained to the priesthood June 2, 1974. Msgr.Leo Conti of Evansville was ordained to the priesthood June 3, 1950. Father Robert Deig, of Christ the King Church, Evansville, was ordained to the priesthood June 3, 1950. Father Eugene Dewig of Sa- cred Heart Church, Evansville, was ordained to the priesthood June 3, 1950. Father John Emge of Provi- dence Home, Jasper, was or- dained to the priesthood June 3, 1950. Academic Bowl Students at Holy Family School, Jasper, who won prizes in the Academic Bowl include: Lindsay Sutton, sixth place, public speaking; Nick Werne, fourth place, spelling; Ann Helming, third place, prose; Casey Nehmer, fifth place, poetry; Shelly Mehringer, second place; Leslie Hildenbrand, third place; Sixth grade team, sixth place, quiz howl. Coloring contest Brent Kress, Beth Zehr, Kelli Sergesketter, Kara Scherle and Jennifer Rasche are winners in the Arby's Coloring Contest. They are students at Holy Family School, Jasper. In memory of Sara Jane Choir members at Memorial High School, Evansville, have recorded a tape in memory of their classmate, Sara Jane Stevenson, who was killed in a moped accident in April. Profits from the tape, which is being sold for $10, will go to the Sara Jane Stevenson Scholarship Fund and to Memorial's Vocal Music Department. Songs include "Hallelujah Chorus," "If You Were Standing Here," "Lacrymosa," "My Love Is Like a Red, Red Rose," "Al- leluia," "Kyrie Eleison," "Red Roses for a Blue Lady," "Sing a Tapestry," "O occhi manza mia," "The Colors of My Life," "Blues in the Night," and "Never My Love." The songs were performed by the Concert Choir, the Women's Chorus, "Arpeggio," the Male Quartet, "Accent," and the com- bined choirs.
