Academic Super Bowl The Mater Dei High School In- terdisciplinary Squad captured third place in the state finals of the Seventh Annual Hoosier Academic Super Bowl in Indi- anapolis. The squad qualified for the finals by winning first place in area competition and placing among the top six Division III schools in the state. Aaron Couture, Tony Fehren- bacher, Missy Greathouse, Amelia Stoltz and Loretta Werner are members of the squad. Other members of the Aca- demic Super Bowl Team are Dan Effinger, Jill Fehrenbacher, Kirby Goedde, Lynnae KempL Melissa Kiefer, Emily Liffick, Becky Schenk, Chris Spahn, Peter Stoltz and Leanna Warner. The team is coached by Sister Jean Marie Ballard and Rose Rogge, with assistance from Sis- ter Donna Marie Herr, Mary Pat- risen and Julie Schu. Memorial's concert choir Winning poet Holly Mayer, a third grader at St. Joseph School, Vanderburgh County, is a winner in the 1993 Poetry Celebration contest pre- sented by the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana and the Telephone Pioneers of America. Holy Childhood Association Members of the concert choir at Memorial High School, Evansville, received a superior first place rating at the Organiza- tional Contest at Harrison High School. They also received a first place rating in sight reading. The concert band and women's chorus received second place ratings.  ....... .......
