BMI/Fun Attic Music (ASCAP)/ Achtobor Songs (BMI) More Christian rock on the Billboard pop charts? Yes, and this time'it's dc Talk's "Between You and Me." I've been told that "dc" stands both for the group's home city as well as "decent Christian." Cer- tainly, this song's message concerns a very "decent" Christian value, forgiveness. The person in the song says, "I'm sorry for the words I've spoken." He realizes that "I've betrayet a friend." Now he knows that "sorrow is a lonely feel- ing" and "unsettled is a painful place." He also understands that "if there's to be any resolution, I've got to peel my pride away." He wants to "get it straight," so "before the sun goes down, just between you and me, confession needs to be made." Seeking forgiveness for wrong caused to another is at the heart of following Jesus. Being a Christian does not mean being perfect. Rather, it means that help to heal the hurt. Often this is not easy. wrong does not necessarily tional pain. At times, hurtful word,' trust needed for a relationship to endure.. When the relationship cannot still important to admit one's wrong. Go tc person and take full and/or actions. Ratings are also given for the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAAL "A Chef in Love" (Magic Lantern) Engaging romantic fantasy set in early 20th-century Eastern Europe recounts the story of a French chef(Pierre Richard) who opens a restaurant in Georgia where he lives happily with a princess (HinD Kirtadze) until their loving relationship is trag- ically shattered by the Russian Revolution. Directed by Nana Djordjadze, the French-Georgian co-production uses an impres- sionistic stream of anecdotes filled with strange, almost surre- al images of Georgian life to tell the story of an irrepressible adventurer whose zest for life may sometimes amuse viewers but is most often refreshing and occasionally exhilarating. Subti- tles. Implied sexual relationship, a restrained bedroom scene and flashes of nudity. The USCC clas- sification is A-III -- adults. The MPAA rating is PG- 13 -- parents are strongly cautioned that some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. "McHale's Navy" (Universal) Inept sequel to the 1960s TV comedy series features Tom Arnold as a retired naval officer whose expertise in covert opera- tions helps destroy the Caribbean base of an ex-Soviet terrorist (Tim Curry). Directed by Bryan Spicer, Arnold's charmless character is unamusing, the dumb antics of his klutzy crew are tiresome and the mirthless plot is scuttled by heavy-duty menace and special- effects mayhem. Considerable stylized violence and some crude sexual innuendo. The USCC clas- sification is A-III -- adults. The MPAA rating is PG -- parental guidance suggested. "Nothing Personal" (Trimark) Strong but dramatically mud- dled story in which a daylight bombing of a pub by the IRA leads to a night of reprisals by a Protestant paramilitary group in 1975 Belfast, with the narra- tive focusing on a Protestant gunman (James Frain), his crazed, trigger-happy subordi- nate (Ian Hart) and the hapless Catholic (John Lynch) they chance upon. Directed by Thad- deus O'Sullivan from Daniel Momin's script, the drama has too many coincidences to be entirely satisfying but its moral outrage at the men of violence, Catholic as well as Protestant, is entirely clear. Much graphic violence, a dour sex scene, occa- sional profanity and much rough language. The USCC classifica- tion is A-IV -- adults, with reservations. Not rated by the MPAA. "Traveller" (October) The title refers to anAmerican clan of Gypsies originally from the British Isles who take in the son (Mark Wahlberg) of a former traveler but his mentor (Bill Pax- ii i JONES BODY SHOP Front end alignment Complete body rebuilding Radiator Service Estimates Given Call 254-5358 207 E.
