Lang on of hands Bishop Francis R. Shea lays his hands on Bishop Gettelfinger dur- ing the ordination ceremony. Archbishop Edward T. O'Meara of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis served as the ordaining bishop; during the ceremonies, the ordaining bishop imposed his hands, calling down and conferring the power of the Holy Spirit. All the other bishops also imposed hands, signifying that the ordination is a collegial act of the order of bishops, incorporating a new member into the episcopal college for the service of the Church. --Message photo by Bob Straub Photography rocessional }op Gettelfinger leaves St. Benedict Church, Evansville, following his ordination as the Fourth =oP of the Diocese of Evansville. -- Message Photo by Mary Ann Hughes Receiving line Bishop Gettelfinser greets Joan Ubelhor of Christ the King Church, Evansville, durin8 the reception held in his honor. -- Message Photo by Mary Ann Hughes
