BOY SCOUTS/GIRL SCOUTS Small subsidy for specifically Catholic scouting activities and programs such as the AD Altare Dei medal, Child of God award, etc. CAMPUS MINISTRY On-campus Catholic programs and services for students at all major state and private colleges/universities within the diocese. CATHOLIC CENTER/ACTIVITIES DEPARTMENT/SARTO RETREAT HOUSE Full-time staff responsible for promoting, scheduling and preparing for countless meetings and other functions within the Catholic Center/Sarto Retreat House com- plex; includes maintenance and preparing meals for guests and employees. CATHOLIC CHARITIES BUREAU Wide range of programs and services for people in emotional, physical and financial need. CATHOLIC EDUCATION OFFICE/MEDIA CENTER Training, workshops, support and resources for all people involved in Catholic Schools and Catholic Education. CHANCERY Central administrative offices of the diocese which include the Bishop, Vicar General, Chancellor and Treasurer's Offices. CHRISTIAN SHARING FUND $50,000 set aside each year and administered by Catholic Charities for needy people throughout the dio- cese at the request of the local pastor. CLERGY ON LEAVE Support for those members of the clergy who are tem- porarily unable to serve because of personal or family difficulties. COUNCIL OF PRIESTS Administrative help and materials needed for the effi- cient and effective operation of this major diocesan consultative body. CATHOLIC SOCIAL MISSION Oversees and keeps current on all issues which relate to and impact the practice of fairness, justice and peace- making; collaborates with parish and diocesan leader- ship in integrating social justice in all church activities; currently administered by Catholic Charities. OFFICE OF STEWARDSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT Oversees, conducts and administers local and diocesan fundraising and parish stewardship conversion of Southwestern Indiana programs; provides staff support for The Catholic Foundation of Southwestern Indiana, Inc. DIOCESAN ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES Numerous expenses incurred by ordinary admi and business activities including accounting and fees, Catholic Parishes Campaign, insurance, ment, dues, etc. LAY EMPLOYEES PENSION PLAN The diocesan retirement plan involving over 600 employees throughout the diocese. MESSAGE/COMMUNICATIONS Preparation and publication of the diocesan newspaper, The Message; coordination of int and activities involving all communications the diocese. MINISTRY TO THE DEAF Special religious and liturgical programs and the hearing impaired. MINISTRY TO PRIESTS Special training, continuing education and spirik grams for priests and other ministerial leaders cese. PERMANENT DEACONS PROGRAM Programs for recruiting, screening, and preF the permanent diaconate; includes after-c ing and support. PERSONNEL DIRECTOR Administrative and clerical help for the work of personnel director. :il ST. JOHN PARISH SUBSIDY Contribution to St. John Parish, Evansville, which that parish in its specialized work in the inner clty. OFFICE OF WORSHIP AND RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS Coordination and planning for major diocesan liturgical celebrations as well as training and those involved in any aspect of liturgical ministry a R.C.I,A. SUPPORTIVE SERVICES Secretarial pool and related expenses for several san offices and programs. :iz! :LI TRIBUNAL Full-time and part-time staff involved in preparing all documents and services proper and legal handling of failed marriages Church's annulment process. VICAR FOR REUGIOUS Services and programs which are for members of religious communities of the diocese. VOCATIONS OFFICE Recruiting, screening and educating people priesthood and religious life. YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY OFFICE Coordination, education and ongoing involved in local and dlocesan-wide vices for the young pe()ple of the diocese.
