Music awards at Mater Dei Students at Mater Dei High DOUG BROMM Youth of the Month Doug Bromm has been named the Huntingburg Opti- mist Club Youth of the Month. He attends Southridge ttigh School, and is a member at St. Mary Church, Huntingburg. He is the son of Delmar and Doris Bromm of Hunting- burg. School, Evansville, who re- ceived Division II medals in the solo and ensemble contest at U of E included Lauren Brady, Ann Weber, Jamie Folz, Con- nie Petrig, Jeanie Schmitt and Matt Schmitt. Band member Valerie Mur- ray received a first place. Sec- ond place went to Melissa Greathouse, Sarah Korcssel, Andrea Auth, Jay Cartwright, Anna Hoang, Melissa Greathouse, Kristina Bohle- ber, Jill Goedde; Connie Petrig, Amy Frey, Adam Bigge, Amanda Clayton and Chris Tornata. Keith Wildeman placed third. lllll i DAR Awards Mark Palmenter and Rea- gan Royster, students .at Memorial High School, Evansville, will represent their school in the Daughters of the American Revolution Citizenship Awards. Science Fair at Holy Redeemer Aaron VonderHaar, Richard Hoar, Craig Eisner, Katie Reffett, Jennifer Reffett and Tia Williams, students at Holy Redeemer School, Evansville, will have their science fair pro- jects on exhibit at the Tri-State Regional Science Fair. Essay winner Craig Polage, a student at St. Matthew School, Mount Vernon, received first place in the Civitan Club Essay Contest. Artists Logan Parker, Abby Pep- per, Beau Greenwell, Beth Asbille, Amber Williamson and Kathleen Johnson, stu- dents at St. Joseph School, Princeton, are winners in the VFW coloring contest. ISSMA Leslie James, Katie Herr, Selena Helfert, Emily Weber, Kelly Joergens, Alison Fis- cher, Tammy Titzer, Crystal Becker, Rachel Orth, Megan Gribbins and Emily Weber, students at Good Shepherd School, Evansville, received first place ratings in the ISSMA district solor and ensemble vocal/piano contest at the Uni- versity of Evansville. Cassie Peake, Jennifer Martinez, Stephanie Behrend and Michelle Stieler placed second. Math-a-thon Students at Resurrection School, Evansville, have col- lected $2,285.33 for St. Jude Hospital throtgh a Math-a-thon. Historians Martin Woll is the winner of the History Contest at Holy Rosary School, Evansville. Jace Carter placed second, and Paul Pastora was third.
