14 The Message -- for Catholics of Southwestern Indiana Worth Mentioning... - Deacons sponsoring Lenten breakfast for men The deacons of the Diocese of Evansville are sponsoring a Lenten Prayer Breakfast for all the men of the diocese. It will be held at Good Shepherd Church, Evansville, Saturday, March 23, at 7 a.m. CST. The theme is, "Being" the Man God Wants You to Be." The speaker will be Ziba Graham of Catholic Charities. A free will offering will be taken. TEC follow-up scheduled this weekend Teens and adults participating in the Teens Encounter Christ movement are invited to a fol- low-up gathering, Sunday, March 10, from 2 to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, Vanderburgh County. Holy Family implements Stephen Ministry program "In response to Jesus' command, our congregation is strengthening our commitment to car- ing by beginning Stephen Ministry," said Virginia Knies, at Holy Family Church, Jasper. Holy Family will send Gladys Johanning and Deb Fleck to Leadership Training School in April. They will join the leadership team, along with Pearl Spayd, who has already taken lead- ership training, and Father John Boeglin, pastor. The leadership team will be taking applications for ministers in May, with the first class be- ginning in September. WFIE TV plans to air Easter Mass Most. Rev. Michael J. Sheehan, archbishop of Santa Fe, will be the main celebrant and homilist for the Easter Mass which will air April 7, Easter Sunday, on NBC 14 WFIE, from 11 a.m to noon Central time. The Mass will be close captioned.
