Mater Dei volleyball players Alex Knapp and Vickie Spahn sign letters of intent Knapp said she was eager to get started and ready "to go right back to Miami" that very afternoon. She spoke to reporters following a brief sign- ing ceremony at Mater Dei. Her parents and high school coach accompanied her. Knapp said Julie Goedde and Lisa John, Mater Dei players who went on to Indiana Univer- sity, were her role models, and she wants to carry on in the Mater Dei tradition. Mater Dei volleyball players Alex Knapp and Vickie Spahn of Evansville signed national letters of intent Feb. 22. Knapp plans to attend Miami Universi- ty of Ohio. Spahn plans to go to University of Evansville.
