"Father Jim Sauer is ener- getic and very capable, and I know he will serve well in his new position at Holy Rosary," Bishop Gerald A. Gettelfinger said in a prepared statement. St. Joseph Church, Evansville, is the family's home parish. After seminary studies at St. Meinrad College, St. Meinrad, Ind., and at Innsbruck, Aus- tria, Father Sauer was or- dained March 25, 1977, by Bishop Francis R. Shea. Father Sauer has been asso- ciate pastor at St. Wendel Church, St. Wendel (April 1977 to July 1977), teacher at Washington Catholic High School, and associate at St. Simon Church, Washington (July 1977 to July 1980), and an associate at St. Theresa Church, Evansville (July 1980 to September 1987). Father Sauer was appointed Director of Continuing Education for Clergy in 1984. See SAUER page 3
