Sheehan, current rec- tor/president of the seminary. "The restoration project is also necessary," he added. "We undertake this project mindful of the importance of quality liturgical celebrations and formation for future priests." Money for the work will come from funds raised in con- junction with the seminary's centennial observance in 1988. To date, $1,375,000 has been raised, toward a goal of $1.5 million designated for restora- tion work and an academic en- dowment fund. A contribution in memory of Bishop Grimmelsman was made by the Diocese of Evansville, according to Bishop Francis R. Shea. The gift was made possible, he said "through the generosity of one of our parishes." Included in renovation plans for the almost 60-year-old chapel are electrical, heating, plastering and mechanical work; also included are an enlarged sanctuary, new sanc- tuary furnishings and a new stone floor.
