Accreditation was a process where the
Outpost examined all aspects of camp life:
Administration, Personnel, Program,
Facilities, Health & Safety, Food Service, and
Transportation according to the high standards
set by the members of the American Camping
AssOciation (ACA). The Outpost developed
procedures and practices that address all
aspects of camp life and ensure that the
Camper is the primary focus of all our decision
making processes.
In July, fellow professionals from other
ACA Accredited camps visited the Outpost,
SCoring our procedures and practices. The
Outpost received high marks and
COmmendations for our Camp.
The Camp undergoes a self-accreditation
each year. An Accrediting Visitor's Team
COmes every three years.
Accreditation affirms what we have always
known: The Outpost is a unique treasure in the
biocese of Evansville and is committed to
excellence in the formation of adolescents and
their families.
