Information for the story was provided by Alice Weisheit, DRE at St. John Chtzrch. Loogootee. Paula Ringwahl, a catechist at St. John Church, l,oo- goolee, "is a very (:reative and con fident person who could be phiced in any position," said Alice Weisheil, parish DRE. "She is very caring as is evident in her love for people." Ringwald has 11 sixth grade pupils each Wednesday afternoon, as part of the parish program. St. John Church has after-school reli- gious education classes on Mondays and Wednesdays for grades K-6. (Pupils in grades 7-12 attend religious education classes on Wednes- day evenings.) She has served the parish in many areas, since moving from Newburgh to Loogootee 11 years ago, according to Weisheit. Ringwald is a gui- ta,'ist, song leader and ban- her-maker for weekend liturgies. Why is Ringwald a cate- chist? "To share my belief with others " she said. She said slit; "plan(s) on goillg to heaven and taking as many with me as (I) can." Her PUl)'ils enjoy her classes. Her students com- ments include, "Mrs. Ring- wald's classes are always ex- citing," "She makes learning fun,", and, "Instead of just reading and working on our lessons we role play and be- come part of the Old Testament." Paula and her husband, Michael G. Ringwald, have four children, Jennifer, Timo- thy, Eric and Maria. I Thinking of SELLING?
