Father William Wolkovich, pastor of St. George's Parish in Norwood, Mass., not only played a priest in the movie but also served as a consultant for the film. Filmed in Boston, New Hampshire and North Carolina last year, "Once Around" is about the marriage of a Lithuanian-American and an Italian-American and the reac- tions of their families. One of the scenes called for a baptism and Father Wolkovich performed the ceremony for the movie. The Archdiocese of Boston allowed the cast and crew of the movie to film the baptism scene at Roxbury's Mission Church in Boston. Father Wolkovich was chosen for the film because the script called for a Lithuanian- speaking priest. A Boston casting company was unable to fill the part from its list of actors and after a ,few inquiries, the film makers tracked down Father Wolkovich at his Lithua- nian parish. Father Wolkovich played a key role in answering the film makers' questions about the Lithuanian language and religious references.
