St. Bernard parents are invit- ed to a "Catholic Schools Week Kickoff Liturgy on Jan. 27. Mike Blake will be a guest speaker at Christ the King School, Evansville. Other activi- ties at Christ the King will include a movie and popcorn party, and a breakfast for par- ents and parishioners who vol- unteer their time and talent to the school throughout the year, according to Joyce Rietman, principal. An assembly and lunch for parents is planned at Holy Spir- it School, Evansville. The week will conclude with the annual faculty-eighth grade volleyball game. Students from the three sepa- rate buildings at Westside Catholic Consolidated School, Evansville, will gather foi  an all- school Mass on Jan. 31 at St. Boniface Church. The Mass will be con-celebrated bY pastors from the students! parishes. Benedictine Sister Christine Kempf, principal at St. Matthew School, Mount Vernon, said that during Catholic Schools Week "we will thank the parents and parishioners for making our school possible through their financial support as well as their being here whenever we need them." St. Matthew sudents will be entertained with a performance by the Chamber Choir from Mount Vernon High School, a "Fifties Day" and sock hop, no homework day, and the annual Science Fair.
