The three are among nine teachers who will share classroom religion experience at the catechists workshop at St. Mary Church, Sullivan, Jan. 21, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m, -- Message Photo by Paul Leingang Nomination form for Diocese of Evansville Teacher of the Year The Message and the Office of Catholic Education are co-sponsoring the second annual Diocese of Evansville Teacher of the Year award. The winner will receive an engraved plaque from The Message and the Office of Catholic Education. The winner will be announced May 17, 1989 at a banquet at Resurrec- tion Church, Evansville. Nominee Address. School Subjects, grades taught Anyone may nominate a teacher for the award. All infor- mation concerning nominees will be kept confidential, in- cluding the name of the person submitting the nomination. The teacher must currently be employed in the Diocese of Evansville and must have taught for a minimum of five years. The award will be based on the teacher's ability to teach students in the elementary or secondary level. The Teacher of the Year must be a role model as an outstanding human being; have a major influence in the lives of students; show concern with the faith development as well as the physical, mental and emotional development of students, and encourage students to improve their abilities and talents. The deadline for nominations is March 20. A committee of three educators will serve as judges. All nominating forms should be mailed to Teacher of the Year, The Message, P.O.
