Phantom Event A "Phantom Event"  de- scribed as "the best party I never attended" -- has raised more than $1,100 for the two Evans- ville Catholic high schools, ac- cording to Glenda Ossenberg, development director for the Evansville Catholic Inter- parochial High School Board. The invitation for the "first an- nual gala non-event" with the message: "we look forward to not seeing you /an. 1 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m." The invitation promised that "Bruce Springstein, Linda Ron- stadt, and other entertainers will not be there," and those who choose not to attend will not have mingle, eat hers d'oeuvres, buy a fancy outfit or travel after dark. The cost of the evening was set at $58.95  $50 for the two Catholic schools and $8.95 to buy a bottle of wine to share at home with a loved one. Ossenberg said one couple re- sponded that they were "looking forward to not seeing you there!" Another couple answered, "Hope we're not too late to not participate."
